keeping busy

Well we are keeping busy, thats for sure. I have activities planned out for every day. Today we went to the Zimmer Museum for kids, a hands on museum that I used to take the boys there all the time when they were younger, before they started daycare. Its been almost 2 years since we went there and I was so amazed at how much they have grown since we were last there. Now they have the skills to really use their imaginations to pretend! There was a play restaurant and Ben put on an apron and started serving all the mommies plastic food on plates he even handed out menus.

This morning we had a Farsi class. I take the boys to a persian woman's home where she runs a daycare and she tutors me and the boys in Farsi. We have learned quite a bit already and its fun for them too! I have to write everything down so I can remember it, and I review it with the boys whenever I can. However I try to encourage their father to speak to them because he knows Farsi way better than me. So once a week for an hour we speak only Farsi at the class. The teacher is great, today she took out Mr. Potato Heads and we practiced the parts of the body as we played. Also every time we greet each other its in Farsi, that's great for me, I need that kind of Farsi vocabulary. Now I can properly greet my in-laws in their native language! Last week when I spoke to my mother in law over the phone while she was in Europe I told her I missed her and hoped to see her soon - All in Farsi! She was impressed. Mind you I was reading off an index card, but I'm learning.
