SOCCER SEASON
This year we signed the big boys up for soccer. They all play on the same team and are very fun to watch. Every time I look up one of my kids has the ball, scored a goal, or blocked one! Its fun having 3 kids on the same team. Its quite a challenge getting ready and out the door for the sunday games. Especially since none of them can tie their cleats or put their shin guards on by themselves YET.
HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY AVI & BEN
The celebrating is complete. Avi and Ben are officially 6. They were shabbat Abba's together in their class. Nahnny even came out to see this special event. It must have been special to see considering she saw her own son as shabbat abba in that same school. We had an intimate shabbat dinner that night and celebrated our big boys. This past weekend they had their party for their classmates at Joeys Gym. The gym pics didn't have the best quality but you can tell they had fun.

Happy Chanukah 2009
We had such a wonderful Chanukah. The kids were spoiled by their grandparents and relatives and friends. I now have to re-organize my playroom to designate new spaces for their toys. We had an amazing dreidle game. The boys could actually play this year without eating the chocolates during the game. Also they were actually able to calculate the jackpot to determine how many was half, I was impressed. Even Yehuda tried to spin the dreidle. He was totally aware of what was going on, and he was a very good spectator with the help of Shana or course.
You might notice if you look out the window that we had some christmas lights across the street. Also our new next door neighbors did quite a beautiful job decorating. So I felt the street needed some chanukah energy. I hung all the kids art projects in the window and had quite a bit of fun decorating my dining and living room. This year I bought a blue table cloth, every year I try to add one new item to the chanukah box in the garage.

caught in the act!

There is a big difference between kindergarten and Pre 1st. Avi and Ben are in Pre 1st and they get homework everyday. Usually no more than 5 minutes worth but enough for Yakov to want in on the fun. Fun? Yes fun, in my house I have made homework time a fun time to sit around the dining room table. Even Yehuda gets to color and he's so excited about it.
Anyway.... recently during homework time at the Esshaghian home, Avi left the table to go to the bathroom and while he was gone, Yakov started doing Avi's homework. He was actually doing a good job at it too. It was a very cute mommy moment.
